Tip: All that determines the finished size of a cross stitch design is the number of stitches per inch there are in the fabric you are using. Find out how many stitches there are in the widest part of the pattern. Divide this number by the number of stitches in 1 inch of the fabric of your choice. For example, 140 stitches divided by 14-count aida equals a design size of 10in. Don't forget to add a margin for stretching, framing or finishing.
