Your download includes a supply list, step-by-step book binding instructions with pictures, and the 3 cross stitch patterns for the front, back, and spine. Also included is a file for you to print the interior book liner motif. The finished book measures approximately 4 3/4" x 5 3/4" inches. ***Note: this tutorial is designed specifically for 20ct. aida or 40 ct. linen. If you use another fabric count, the measurements given in the book binding tutorial will not be appropriate.***

Your cross-stitch charts will include suggested floss colors and will be in represented in symbols over colors on a numbered grid. Regular full cross stitches, a few 3/4 stitches, back stitches, and French knots are required.

Materials necessary for this bookbinding project include:

-cardboard (or preferably mat board or thick chipboard)
-an at least 9” x 13” inch piece of 40 ct. linen or 
20 ct. cross stitch fabric
-embroidery floss
-16 sheets of 8 1/2 x 11” inch paper (will become 124 pg. book)
- ruler, craft knife, thick white glue (I prefer Aileen’s Tacky Glue). 
-Twine or strong, thick thread, an awl (or a hammer and nail works), thin cotton batting or  wadding
-tape
-2 sheets of card stock (to print the digital inner paper file on) or your choice of heavy-weight paper 
-a 6-inch scrap of fabric (for making the spine)
